CI-Statistical Analyst/Business Analyst-CMB

Position Overview:

Whether the data is garnered through primary research, internal customer databases, and/or secondary sources, the work of a statistical analyst is crucial in enabling us to see patterns within that data, and in ultimately generating the insights that prove so valuable to our clients.


The Statistical Analyst/Business Analyst will be involved in articulating data-driven solutions that inform decision making for internal clients and in developing methods or processes for implementation. The Analyst will be expected to have a deep understanding of analytical methodologies in order to complete unstructured assignments with little supervision. The Analyst will be expected to manage expectations of internal clients through direct and routine interaction with internal clients. Statistical Analyst is responsible for applying traditional and advanced statistical modeling, clustering and other data mining techniques to predict, diagnose, describe and measure customer behavior.  The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and managing various analytic and research projects and be able to interpret and present findings and develop goal-directed actions plans.


Gather, review and analyze data generated from primary and secondary research sources
Develop suitable models to estimate market size, market share etc using available data
Clean and manipulate datasets and prepare for analysis
Conduct guided and independent analysis on cleaned data in support of projects
Engage with US colleagues on projects and add value through insights and analysis
Generate insights and present the findings in relation to the objectives at hand
Develop and implement a variety of statistical techniques such as regressions, cluster analysis, decision trees and conjoint analysis for the development of new insights and recommendations to improve results
Support the development of standard procedures for the evaluation and preparation of data and the execution of statistical analyses and data mining processes




Undergraduate degree in statistics, mathematics or engineering strongly preferred. Masters degree is highly desirable, if statistics is not a core subject of the undergraduate degree
Proficiency in distilling large amounts of data
Clarity in communicating and clearly articulating findings and opinions
Expertise with SQL and statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, R or other statistical programs is required
Prior professional experience in a data analyst role for a minimum of 2 years is a must
Strong quantitative market research and modeling skills highly desirable
Strong business analytic and critical thinking skills
Ability to develop strong relationships and to work cross-functionally
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
Effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously



Persistence and creativity in identifying and exhibiting data and information in a client friendly manner
Ability to juggle with complex projects under tight deadlines
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent strategic thinking, understanding of business analysis
